At Buckeye Doodles, every puppy is raised with intention, care, and purpose inside our home. From their very first days to the moment they join your family, we focus on creating confident, well-adjusted companions through early development, structure, and love.
We believe bringing home a puppy should feel just as special as it is seamless and we are here to guide you every step of the way.
Visiting Our Puppies!
We know how exciting it is to meet your future puppy 💛
Because young puppies are still developing their immune systems, they are more vulnerable to illnesses that can be unknowingly carried in from outside environments.
For this reason:
- Visits begin when puppies are 6–8 weeks old
- All visits are by appointment only
- We kindly ask that no outside pets are brought to our home
- We limit visitors to maintain both puppy health and family safety
✨ This allows our puppies to grow safely during their most important developmental stage, resulting in healthier, more confident companions for your family
What Sets Our Puppies Apart!
At Buckeye Doodles, our puppies are raised inside our home, not in kennels, where they are surrounded by love, daily interaction, real-life experiences, and a structured routine from the very beginning.
From as early as 3 days old, our puppies begin their journey through “Puppy School,” following a carefully designed curriculum that supports early neurological development and confidence building. Using the Puppy Culture method, we help shape well-balanced, socially successful puppies.
As they grow, we continue building that foundation through early socialization, daily handling, and a consistent routine. Puppies are gently introduced to crate training, location-based potty training, and early structure. This thoughtful approach helps create a smoother transition into your home and sets the stage for continued success.

Puppy Selection Day!!
As your puppies grow and their personalities begin to shine, one of the most exciting moments arrives—selection day!
Puppy Selection takes place between 6–7 weeks of age.
- Families choose in the order reservation fees were received
- Selection can be made:
- In person
- Via phone/FaceTime
- From your personalized videos
- We are always happy to help guide you toward the best fit

Go Home Day!! The moment you’ve been waiting for.
The moment you’ve been waiting for 💛
Puppies are ready to join their families at 8 weeks of age or older (Never sooner).
- Go Home Day is scheduled on a Saturday
- Pickup is by appointment only
- Each family receives a 30-minute time slot
By this time, your puppy is:
- Eating solid food confidently
- Familiar with routine and structure
- Introduced to crate training and independence
- Sleeping overnight in their crate
✨ Your puppy leaves us with a strong foundation to transition smoothly into your home.
Flexibility & Planning Ahead
We understand that sometimes timing doesn’t align perfectly and we’re happy to offer flexibility when possible.
You may transfer your reservation to another litter or back to our Master Waitlist, where you will be placed in the next available position.
Please note:
- Transfers requested more than 7 days prior to Puppy Selection Day may be made without penalty
- Transfers requested within 7 days of Puppy Selection Day, or any time after Selection Day, will result in forfeiture of the reservation fee
- A new reservation fee ($300) will be required to rejoin the Master Waitlist in the next available position
If you need additional time:
- Extended stays may be available with prior approval
- A $25/day boarding fee applies
💛 We are always happy to work with our families while maintaining fairness for everyone on our list.
Payments.
All puppies must be paid in full by Go Home Day
For puppies traveling, full payment is required one week prior to transport
Reservation fees are non-refundable, as they secure your place in line for a specific litter.
Transportation & Shipping
We proudly work with families across the country and are happy to help guide transportation options.
When available, we may offer personal delivery. We truly enjoy meeting our puppy families and ensuring our puppies travel safely by our side.
If arranging transport independently:
- We are not affiliated with third-party providers
- Buyers are responsible for verifying credentials and references
- We strongly recommend speaking with past clients
📍 Travel Details:
- Air travel: Columbus, OH (CMH Airport)
- Ground pickup: Chillicothe, OH
Once a puppy leaves our care and is placed with a transport provider, responsibility transfers fully to the Buyer. The Buyer assumes all risks associated with transportation, including delays, illness, injury, or unforeseen circumstances
